Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust is seeking the skills and experience of a supervisor at a Supported Youth Accommodation facility.
In this role, you will provide a safe, clean, supportive home for up to three youth at any one time that educates, mentors and supports youth in their transition to independence.
You will supervise rangatahi (hours as negotiated and/or on-call) and ensure property security and safety, a clean and tidy environment, oversee activities and access to food, among other responsibilities.
You must be a good decision maker, accurate record keeper, and be comfortable working with limited supervision. You must be able to listen, engage and support the rangatahi in their daily lives.
The desired applicant will be a team player who is able to communicate with empathy, is cheerful, enthusiastic and reliable. You must be willing to cover staff absences if required. You must hold a full driver’s license. Full training will be provided.
Hours: 30 hours per week, which includes a combination of day and night shift, as well as weekend work.
