This week our kaimahi came together to celebrate Matariki with a beautiful shared kai, honouring the Māori New Year.
Whānau were encouraged to bring kai inspired by the whetū that represent our natural food sources: Waitī (food from fresh water), Waitā (food from the salt water), Tupuānuku (food from the whenua), and Tupuārangi (food from the skies). As you can see - there was a lot of kaimoana!
Matariki is a time to pause, reflect on the year that has been, remember those who have passed and whose stars now shine among ngā whetū, and look ahead with hope and intention for the year to come.
