Hiring Now: Stop Smoking Coach-Oamaru

The Southern Stop Smoking Service is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Stop Smoking Coach to join our mobile team.

This role is an exciting opportunity to support whānau on their smoke-free journey through a combination of one-on-one and community-based support.

We’re seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference, confident working independently, and comfortable engaging with people in a wide range of settings, including GP practices, homes, and community spaces. As the role is mobile, your vehicle (provided) will serve as your working office.

Key Requirements:

  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Willingness to complete the Stop Smoking Practitioner Certificate (within the first year of employment)
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong record-keeping and self-management
  • A positive, empathetic, and engaging manner

This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), commencing within four weeks of signing the contract. You will be based in Oamaru.
