Jack Lovett-Hurst and William Todd, who represent the Ngā Kete SOAR (Securing Our Aspirational Realities) team, hosted a free event in June to bring the community together, held at the Invercargill Working Men's Club.
William Todd said the event, which was open to anyone in the community, raised awareness around SOAR and the work it does in the disability sector, brought the community together and raised over $1200 for Radio Southland (to be used on a portable recording system for interviews outside of the station).
